And even after this Nigel tries to preserve his lifestyle while Felicity tries to show him his life would be much better with her.

The secondary characters are also wonderful. In fact, I would love to read the story behind Felicity's parents, it sounds quite interesting. I own everything Victoria Alexander has written and I am definitely looking forward to the third book in this series.

Good series, good characters.
I loved the hero especially when he came out in " Let it be love". In this story he did not disappointed me either. He comes out as a very funny character. He was a little more serious here but likable nonetheless.
Amazing, awesome!! Very good story, it was interesting from beginning to end! I didn't wanted to end. Well written and characters were very amusing, funny and Always suspense in the story. I will recommend to mature readers.h
It was a sweet regency classic story. The heroine is both strong and assertive which adds more depth to her character. It's a charming love story about fate, the stars, and falling in love. I'd read it again.
2nd book in he series and it is hilarious! I caught myself laughing out loud sometimes. I love reading romantic comedies and Victoria Alexander is just so great at writing them!

I found this warm, humorous and utterly romantic novel impossible to put down. Felicity was sweet and smart with an irrepressible spirit, and that, along with her willingness to occasionally act the "improper lady" are exactly what make her the perfect match for Nigel. She completely stole my heart in her opening--wish upon a star--scene. The author's words painted such a quaint, funny and deliciously whimsical image in my mind that I was completely enthralled; and instantly drawn into the story.

Nigel was a captivating and amiable hero as well. While I can appreciate a forceful, dominant Alpha male (in fiction) as much as the next woman...I find a funny, playful and charismatic rogue with a wickedly seductive smile, a devil-may-care attitude, and a good heart--irresistible. Though he was at times a "beast" to Felicity, I still loved Nigel's character because it really wasn't in his nature to be unkind. He just felt he was being forced to give up his freedom and take on responsibilities he feared he wasn't capable of handling. He was one of those reluctant heroes--with a bit of a Peter Pan Syndrome--that very often need to be convinced that they're actually much better men than they believe they are. And--Ya gotta love a man who'll wear fairy wings to woo the woman he loves!

Along with her delightful and memorable hero and heroine, Ms. Alexander did an outstanding job of creating a solid cast of secondary characters that were all vivacious, amusing, believable and genuinely appealing. And, as always, she kept their interactions, conversations and banter--thought-provoking, intelligent, provocative or hilariously funny. Add to that, a storyline that was thoroughly enchanting, vibrant and seamlessly paced--as Ms. Alexander's writing is always so perfectly refined, rhythmical and smooth flowing--the reader often doesn't realize the pages have all been turned and they have surprisingly, though quite enjoyably, reached...The End.
